Diamantes

We have all tried adhering diamantes to our projects before. Adding the glue and then trying to lift the diamante with our fingers or tweezers and placing it on that exact right spot – and then they fall and drop right on your photo glue side down. Well you no longer have to battle like that – all you need is a little easy how to and you will never struggle again.

What you will need
  • Diamantes
  • White wax crayon
  • Cardstock or paper
  • Tombow glue or any other clear drying liquid glue

I prefer using a white wax crayon. If you use a coloured crayon it sometimes leaves a small piece of wax behind on the diamante. This isn't a problem as it can simply be wiped off once the glue has dried.

Step 2
Use your wax crayon to pick up your diamante. Place the tip of the wax crayon directly on top of the flat part of the diamond and lift.

Step 3
Place the diamante onto the glue spot and leave to dry. Once the diamond touches the glue it automatically releases itself from the wax crayon.

Tips & Tricks
  • Sometimes the diamonds won't lift off the surface the first time. Simply move them to a surface that may not be static like a piece of white paper instead of on your craft sheet.
  • Place a wax crayon in your crafting bag so you never get caught without it and get yourself into that awful sticky mess again.
