Use digital brushes to create your own flourishes to use on your next project. These quick and easy flourishes can be used either digitally or printed onto cardstock and then used to add some dimension to cards and layouts.

Digital brushes are images that you can print out in different sizes and then use on cards and other projects. For these flourishes we used our digital brush printed onto white cardstock and then cut out. These flourishes work well combined with flowers and buttons to create beautiful accents.

What you will need
  • Printed flourish
  • Scissors
  • Glue pen

If you don't have digital brushes normal images of any flourish can be resized and printed for the same effect, but remember the larger you make the image the more the quality will degrade.

Step 1
Select your digital brush and print the image onto white cardstock. Remember to resize the images to suit your project. Print several images at once and store the rest to use them later while saving cardstock.

Step 2
Carefully cut around the edges of the image using small sharp nosed scissors. To cover up the white edges after cutting around the edges use a ink pad in the same colour and ink the edges.
