What is Scrapcouture all about?
This website is an ode one of the great scrapbooking magazines launched right here in South Africa. You may ask yourself why we would promote a magazine that don't even belong to us... Well the answer is easy... We love the magazine! Many of us own every single issue ever released and our scrapbooking has improved so much since, that we cannot even imagine being without the information and inspiration this magazine offers to all its readers.
So when we heard rumors that the owners were thinking about abandoning the magazine to concentrate on other more demanding projects, we immediately approached them with a simple suggestion that would allow them and their many talented contributors to still continue on with the magazine, without the burden of running an entire publishing house. After all, it is the wealth of talented layouts, artistic designs, technique examples, reviews and inspiration we were ultimately after. Hence the birth of imagine e-articles. What is imagine e-articles? It basically allows the original contributors who made imagine magazine so great - and now you also - to still share their knowledge and talent with their audience. The main area of this website contains the brand new e-articles. These are only available to subscribers of this service and is updated during the week as new articles are submitted. With kind permission we are also able to electronically reproduce all articles from each issue ever released. That means that if you are a subscriber to imagine e-articles you also have every previous issue at hand all in one place and accessible from anywhere in the world. We are extremely excited about this new development and hope that the growing membership figures here will inspire the owners to release a printed version at some time in the future again.

Catching up with imagine magazine
imagine Magazine was founded by Jowilna Nolte and me in 2007 as a truly South African scrapbooking magazine. It was perfect bound with a thick cover to give it a coffee table book look and feel. Minimal advertisement, informative articles, step by step techniques and beautiful layouts were just a few of the things that we employed to make our magazine unique. Later due to the sheer amount of International interest we decided to change it into a digital magazine. The new format was more cost effective and could be produced on demand to be shipped anywhere in the world. So busy making up orders we placed a lot of other projects on hold that later became problems.
A word by the editor of imagine magazine
For years I had been dreaming about various careers and passions that I would like to follow, but it had been the one of publishing that had won in the end. My passion for images, printed media and paper crafts had lead to the journey of first working in the industry and then to take the leap of faith into starting my own publishing company where imagine magazine was born.
